Future Activities

Since MTN has been awarded NFS (I) License and permission to construct International Gateway (IGW), MTN has been trying on start its own IGW business and operation in the near future. Once IGW operation has started, MTN will try becoming backend service provider for leading telecommunication operators, ISPs and government agencies.

To be able to build MTN’s own backbone link which includes 600 kilometer of terrestrial optical fiber cable link along Yangon-Mawlamyaing-Dawei Railway line and 150 kilometer of cross-border optical fiber cable link along the high way of Dawei-Hteekhee. MTN is going to sign the bilateral Agreement with Myanmar Railway for Yangon-Mawlamyaing-Dawei link Project. Cross border link will be constructed continuously.
